Short term apartments can be extremely difficult to find, because they provide many advantages that you just cannot get from a hotel room. The most important of these advantages, of course, is value.
The math is simple. The average cost of a Manhattan hotel room is $300 per night. With taxes, this comes to over $9,000 per month. However, I can find you clean, sizeable, furnished apartments for as little as $3,200 per month. (Also keep in mind that an apartment with a functioning kitchen would be immeasurably cheaper compared to that of a hotel's in-house restaurant or room service.)
Perhaps you need to stay in Manhhatan for a limited period of time but require more space and amenities than a hotel provides. Perhaps you're relocating due to corporate restructuring.
